Eduardo González, Jr., Treasurer

Eduardo is a Cornell Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner (CCDP/AP) with over 30 years of experience working with individuals, not-for-profits and educational institutions to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. He has served as a facilitator of the Opening Doors workshop since 2001.  It has been through this work that Eduardo has come to understand that in order to transform our systems beyond the status quo we must be willing to be personally transformed. This mindset has served as his inspiration to intentionally create spaces of well-being and human connection that center courage, promote dialogue, and invite discovery – of self and others.

His experiences as a coach, mentor, youth advocate, adjunct professor, educator, trainer, and facilitator continuously inform his practice as a leader of prioritizing well-being, authenticity, collaboration, and mutual support. To this end, Eduardo leverages his discretionary power to inspire and motivate others to achieve extraordinary outcomes by fostering environments of growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.  He is known for leading with practices that enable individuals to thrive and contribute meaningfully while feeling seen, heard, and valued. Some of these practices include promoting open communication, collaboration, and trust that result in relationships reciprocity and mutual accountability.

Eduardo firmly believes that the transformative power of relationships is a fundamental component in driving systemic change. This belief, rooted in his innate curiosity about the world, is fueled by his conviction in the capacity of awe to profoundly impact individuals, relationships, organizations, and ultimately the entire world.

Eduardo currently serves as the Assistant Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Cornell Cooperative Extension in New York. He holds a Bachelor's in Human Services and a Master's in Public Administration from Pace University.
